Mischa Barton, Lee Tergesen Headed To ‘Law & Order: SVU’

Mischa Barton is heading to “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.”

The former “O.C.” star, whose most recent series, “The Beautiful Life,” was canceled by The CW in the fall, will play Gladys, a lady of the night. Mischa’s episode — opposite series stars Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni — will air on March 3, Zap2it.com reported.

But Mischa isn’t the only star gearing up for a guest spot on the show. Lee Tergesen, who starred on HBO’s prison drama series “Oz” opposite Christopher, will appear in an upcoming episode, Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello reported.

Lee will play a crazy religious man accused of murder.

Fans can expect the former “Oz” couple to engage in “lots of sweaty interrogation scenes,” a source told the columnist.

And as previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Sharon Stone will also join the “SVU” cast for a four-episode arc as a cop-turned-prosecutor.

Ashton Kutcher’s Cancelled Show “The Beautiful Life” Now on YouTube

“The Beautiful Life,” a show set in the modeling world and starring Mischa Barton and Elle MacPherson, came and went earlier this year, lasting just two episodes before the CW network pulled the plug. Now, the show’s creator, Ashton Kutcher, has announced he’s making all five produced episodes — two that ran and three that never aired — available on YouTube, starting today. In an announcement posted on the video sharing site, Kutcher said, “I want this to be the first show ever that gets more viewers on the Web than what it got on terrestrial television.” That seems ambitious even in this scaled-down format. The show underwhelmed critics (Glenn Garvin of the Miami Herald called it a “hopelessly trashy melodrama about hopelessly trashy people”) and its second episode drew a mere 1.1 million viewers. If viewers didn’t care when “The Beautiful Life” was on network television, it seems unlikely they would seek it out on-line. Check out the pilot on YouTube and judge for yourself.
