Mischa Barton has three golden rules she sticks to when trying to save the planet - but often has trouble remembering them. Former The O.C. star Barton is a strong advocate of green issues, and is currently spokesperson for Climate Star, an organisation that fights Global Warming through social and legislative activism.
And Barton takes their values seriously, integrating them into her everyday living.

The three everyday tips I like for staying green are, one: conserving water around the house. Don’t leave water running for no reason especially like when you’re brushing your teeth or taking a shower or whatever. Just not to waste water.
Second one is when you go to the store these days, most stores have bags you can get that are reusable and bring them back as long as you remember them which seems to be my only issue. I think that’s an amazing thing to do. It saves us paper and plastic and it’s much, much, much better for the environment.
The third thing I think everyone should try and do a little more is bike and walk places because not only is it good for you and you get out there but it’s really good for the environment, especially places like L.A where everyone drives. I have friends who drive hybrids and bio-diesel cars but you know they’re nothing like getting out there and going walking.

So guys India has been amazing. A little frenetic, as they do things a little different here! So it’s been tough with the long shoot days to check in much! But the people are amazing, so eager to please and I’ve learned so much from them.

I’ve been having an amazing spiritual exploration visiting Hindu temples and learning about Buddhism, both beautiful religions. Hyderabad where we’re filming is a real inspiration in the fact that Christians, Muslims and Hindus all get along so harmoniously. I must admit I used to make fun of people who were all into yoga and chai tea thinking it was another ridiculous health fad. But now I’m that person! First of all Masala Chai tea, the traditional way with milk and sugar is delicious, and this is coming from a brit who only likes my breakfast tea!

I must say my goal coming here was to learn to play the sitar and it’s coming along real slow as apparently it’s not that easy to procure a great sitar teacher here, I guess it not late 60’s with Ravi Shankar and George Harrison roaming around unfortunately!!!!

Goa was my christmas break, and it was stunning, I actually went to South Goa (which isn’t the party side of town) thats the North bit, but I’ll post tons of footage for you guys out there. If only technology didn’t hate me and I was decent with electronics! But I went parasailing, jet skiing and swimming in the ocean for ages every day. The colors, fabrics, food will blow your mind….so stay tuned to see me on my vacation and what I got up to.

Mischa Barton has proven a pattern when it comes to her love life: The actress clearly has a thing for rock stars.
But new boyfriend, Kooks front man Luke Pritchard, isn’t worried or threatened by the OC star’s reputation. He presses that he’s just happy to be with her.

“It’s early days yet but, yes, we are seeing each other,” he told Britain’s Daily Mirror, femalefirst.co.uk reported.
“I’m very lucky. She’s beautiful, so I feel lucky she decided to go out with someone like me. It came about because we have lots of friends in common and kept going to the same parties.”
